In September 2009 Monique was nominated for a 2009 ACE Award for “Best Female Vocalist”.
Representing Australia, Monique performed at the launch of Sir Richard Branson’s V Australia Airline, singing on Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, in February 2009!
After completing the role of “Annette” in “Saturday Night Fever” Monique was nominated for a Helpmann Award, ACE and MO Award for her performance. She then joined the cast of “Dusty – the Original Pop Diva” for a successful Australian tour. Monique jumped straight into the tour of “We Will Rock You” in Japan, followed by “Fiddler on the Roof” in New Zealand and lead role of “Goddess” in “Hidden Palace” at Conrad Jupiter’s.
The 2007 Adelaide Cabaret Festival saw Monique as one of the “Bond Bombshells” in “Licence to Thrill” under the direction of Mr Terrence O’Connell. One extreme highlight of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival was performing in the Master Class, being critiqued and guided by the amazing world-renowned singer and songwriter Michael Finestine.
Monique has made many television appearances, acting, presenting and singing on such shows as: All Saints, ABC’s Wild Side, The Cooking Show Fresh, Carols in the Domain, GMA with Kerri Anne and The Footy Show. Monique has also written, produced and directed her own segments while television presenting on Foxtel.
Monique has performed as support act for many performers, but to name a few: Taylor Dane, Mowtown Legends “The Drifters”, Aria Award winning “ Sneaky Sound System”, Australia’s “Human Nature”, Rhonda Burchmore, Marcia Hines and Vanessa Amorosi but most importantly to her, Hollywood legend Mr Mickey Rooney.
Monique was the one of the lead female vocalists on the “Sydney Show Boat” under the direction of the late great Mr Bobby Limb from 1997 to 2000.
For twelve years Monique has been cruising with P&O, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean, yet again with her first class cabaret show, wowing audiences with her vibrant and exciting personality!
