SheSails at Belmont 16s Sailing Club
SheSails is an Australian Sailing initiative to recognise all of the amazing female contributors to our sport, and to encourage women of all ages to enjoy sailing. It is all about enjoying your sailing adventure in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
Our Vision:
SheSails was established at Belmont 16s Sailing Club to promote and support female participation across all sailing activities and classes at Belmont 16s Sailing Club. The aim is to bring together all of our sailing community to foster a safe and fun environment of inclusion, encouragement and participation for women and girls of all ages and skill levels no matter where they are on their sailing journey.
Our Purpose:
The primary purpose of the SheSails Committee is to:
- Bring together our sailing community, no matter one’s gender, to work together to increase girls and women’s membership and participation in sailing activities at all levels.
- Provide support and resources for female sailors.
- Organise events and programs specifically tailored to enhance women’s participation.
- encourage skill development and leadership among female sailors and volunteers.
